Maharajas' Express Terms and Conditions

By accessing, using, browsing and/or booking through our website(s) or Directly or Indirectly through Exotic India Escapes or its representative(s), you agree that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, and you agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations in force from time to time :


Prices quoted generally include accommodation charges, taxes (unless specified otherwise) and in some cases specified meals (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner), but do not however include any personal expenses or additional fees such as telephone calls, consumption from mini-bar, services, cleaning, etc.

For the required services, advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount (if any) needs to be paid either before your departure from your country or upon arrival in INDIA. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment.

We accept overseas advance payment only through Bank/Wire Transfer to our bank account, which can be made through Visa/ MasterCard/ Diners/ American Express Credit Card OR Bank/ Wire/ Telegraphic Transfer OR Banker's Cheque / Bank Draft. The transfer / processing charges will be in addition to the advance payment. Also, please note that we do not accept cheques.

The balance payment can be made in India through currency notes OR travelers cheques OR through Master / Visa / Diners / American Express Credit Card (bank transaction charges extra).


In case of any cancellation of reservations and/or any other services, we should be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive the intimation in writing. The cancellation charges are as follows, and the refund amount may be as given below :

Reservation Cancelled Refund
30 working days prior to arrival 90% of the advance deposit (except transaction charges)
15 working days prior to arrival 75% of the advance deposit (except transaction charges)
7 working days prior to arrival 50% of the advance deposit (except transaction charges)
Less than 7 days or No show No Refund


During “Peak Season” (defined by density of tourist inflow, and may vary from place to place), if a hotel implements a different cancellation policy, the client will have to bear additional charges, if any, which differ from our cancellation policy given above.

If the trip is cancelled after the scheduled commencement, we are liable for refunding only the amount that we are able to recover from the hotels we patronize, and hold no guarantee to refund for the unused accommodation, unavailed transportation, missed meals etc.

Requests for modifications or cancellations etc should be sent directly to us, and we shall not be liable to honor such requests if sent directly to the hotel.


The refund amount for unused or unutilized services, will be calculated as per our cancellation policy explained above, and the refund amount would be sent to the person who made us the payment.

In case the services requested by a client are not available, we will offer similar services (or alternatives) before the commencement of service, and if the client does not find the alternatives acceptable, the full amount will be refunded without deductions (except transaction charges). But if the alternate services are accepted by the client, the cancellation of the same will be as per our above cancellation policy.

Refund against a payment received through a Credit Card will be made on the same Credit Card. The refund process may take 2 to 8 weeks due to banking and transaction procedures.


In case of any hike in entrance fee to monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges, after the finalization of tour or service cost, such hike would be charged as extra.

Although the payment to hotels is made in advance at the current tariffs, but the hotel administration reserves the right for revision in room tariffs until the actual check-in. Under such rare but possible circumstances of tariff hike, the client shall bear the extra cost due to the hike.

The Hotel Tariffs are governed by various Government Taxes and Levies, and the tariffs quoted on "Tax Inclusive" basis include all applicable taxes and levies as on the date of quotation. In an event of change in the rate of Government Taxes and implementation of additional levies and/or taxes, the client will be liable to pay the additional taxes or levies as implemented.


Exotic India Escapes acts only as an agent for hotels, airlines, transporters, railways and contractors providing other services. All exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

The hotel ratings given on our websites(s) or in any other communication are given by qualified local authorities and do not reflect our opinion about the hotel or its service quality.

As all itineraries are sample itineraries for giving a feel and general idea of the trip, we reserve the right to change the schedule in case of weather conditions, road conditions, physical ability of the guests etc, before or during the trip, to ensure their safety, comfort and well being.

We shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations, or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – for any loss, injury or damage to property due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdowns of machinery, equipment or transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political unrest, wars, civil strife, strikes, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, defaults, or from any act of God or otherwise, beyond our control.

Since we do not have any insurance policy covering expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons, guests are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All luggage and personal property/s at all times are at the client's risk.


In order to improve our services, we welcome suggestions from visitors, in the form of feedback, comments and /or complaints regarding our services and your experience with us.

Although we take reasonable care that all services are provided as stated in our website and / or other communication, however we are not liable for any lapses/changes made by any third party vendor (hotel, transport, etc.) regarding which we have not been informed.

We will not be responsible for any human error and / or typing error, which has gone unnoticed by the guest or the company's staff.

Disputes, if any, shall be subject to the sole discretion of the courts of New Delhi, India.

Exotic India Escapes reserves the right to amend/modify/change the terms, conditions, and notices as suitable in the interest of the clients and the company; and to comply with the legal requirements governing the industry from time to time.
